Dear Friends, things have been quiet on the blog lately, but I’ve been busy behind the scenes! Come see what I’ve been up to since last we talked…
First up, this weekend—March 27-29—I’ll be back at Planet Comicon KC for my thirteenth year as a guest. I’ll have boxed sets and hardcovers of the Myrtle Hardcastle Mysteries available. And, of course, a new cosplay!

Sneaky peek…
Swing by my booth at 2338 and say ahoy-hoy!

ecb and Elise at Books of Wonder in NYC, 2024
In other news (!!), I’m thrilled to share that Myrtle’s amazing editor, Elise Howard, and I are embarking on a new adventure together: this time as agent and client! I’ve joined the DeFiore & Company family, and we are out on submission (!!) with my new book—a lush, gothic fairytale set in the same world as A Curse Dark as Gold. This is a heart-and-soul, blood-sweat-and-tears project for me, and I’m so excited for readers to get their hands on it!

soooooo many ghosts…
In the meantime, I’m feverishly working on another new project, a new series featuring one of my favorite adult characters from the Myrtle Hardcastle Mysteries.
I’m deep in the delicious research for this right now, and will be back to sharing glimpses into the historical inspiration for my books soon.
Until then,

Congrats on all your good news, Elizabeth! I’m curious about your new series based on a character from the Myrtle mysteries. I loved that series!
