#MyrtleMondays: Myrtle Needs Your Vote for the Silver Falchion Award!

Friends, I’ve said before (and will keep saying forever) that Myrtle fans are the most loyal and passionate readers I’ve ever known. Now’s our time to prove it to the rest of the world! Myrtle Hardcastle Mysteries Book 4, In Myrtle Peril, has been nominated for a Silver Falchion Readers’ Choice Award at the Killer Nashville mystery convention—which means the public is invited to vote for their favorite mysteries of the year!

You need to act fast—voting is only open through Tuesday, July 25 (that’s tomorrow), and you can only vote once. The top ten titles will earn this great honor!

Are those the lights of a ghost ship sailing toward us?

But wait–there’s more! In addition to the nomination for the Readers’ Choice Award, In Myrtle Peril is also a finalist for the Silver Falchion Award itself! Judges will select from among the nominees and announce the winners at Killer Nashville in August.

This is Myrtle’s second Silver Falchion recognition. I am so honored by all the enthusiasm that mystery fans everywhere keep showing the Myrtle Hardcastle Mysteries. (We love you right back!) You can read In Myrtle Peril now in hardcover, e-book, or audiobook—or preorder your paperback (coming in October)!

A falchion is a Very Cool Sword. This one’s hilt reminds me of a claymore—which you can see coming up in Myrtle, Means, and Opportunity (October 24).

Thanks for voting!
